redsn0w 0.9.6b4 jailbreak targets iOS 4.2.1

The Dev-Team Blog recently updated their page, touting a spanking new redsn0w version 0.9.6b4 jailbreak that will cater for the hot-out-of-the-oven iOS 4.2.1. Jailbreaking the device, however, is easier said than done since the 4.2.1 jailbreak is currently "tethered" so owners of the iPhone 4, iPad, and newer iPhone 3GS and iPod touch will need to hook it up to a computer to boot into a jailbroken state every time your device runs out of juice, or requires a reboot. Hmmm, seems to sound like the T-Mobile G2 where rooting it was temporary until recently, where a permanent solution was discovered. To know more about rooting or jailbreaking, head on here and here, respectively.
